    Fulcrum provides all in in one multi-utility, EV charging, Smart Metering, electrical maintenance and utility ownership solutions across the UK. Precision Facilities Management has been providing FM services to fulcrum for the last five years. However, the client was dissatisfied with the cleaning services being delivered by another company, so they re-tendered the cleaning element of the contract and Precision FM took over the cleaning operations at Fulcrum sites.

    Problem

    Fulcrum was dissatisfied with the poor cleaning and management of cleaning services provided by the previous company. This meant that Fulcrum had to quickly address the issue of poor cleaning and management of cleaning services.

    Solution: Efficient Scheduling

    Precision FM addressed the issue by taking on the cleaning element of the contract via Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE). One cleaner refused to follow through the TUPE process and transfer over to Precision. After a number of attempts and consultations Precision replaced this member of staff. We then set about creating a cleaning program/schedule, which Fulcrum and the previous provider did not have in place before. Regular audits were conducted to monitor and control the cleaning process to ensure quality measure were being met. Precision also evaluated the cleaning process and schedule to identify areas that could be done more efficiently.

    Result: Establishing Cost down drivers & raising the standard

    Our approach was successful in overcoming the issue of poor cleaning and management of cleaning services. The regular audits and control of the cleaning process ensured that the cleaning was done to a higher standard, resulting in increased client satisfaction. Additionally, Our evaluation of the cleaning process resulted in a cost-saving for the client, as they were able to reduce the number of cleaners from 4 to 3, creating a cost saving for Fulcrum.
