Charitable Giving Built on Strong Foundations

We firmly believe in the transformative power of giving. Our approach to charity stems from our corporate values of passion, personal development, and positive well-being.

These values shape the core of our company, from how we operate internally to how we engage externally. Our philanthropic initiatives through the Precision FM Foundation are a testament to our dedication to these values.

Established in August 2020, the Precision FM Foundation is a central component of our business strategy with a percentage of company profits automatically allocated to the Foundation each year.

This approach allows us to support a variety of charities that align with our corporate ethos and also those that reflect the interests of our clients.

Improving lives and promoting opportunity

Our Foundation supports a diverse range of charities, each of which resonates with our values and strategic vision.

We have a deep-rooted commitment to children’s welfare. The Leicester-based Bodie Hodges Foundation, one of the many charities we support, exemplifies this commitment.

The Bodie Hodges Foundation is a charity founded by a bereaved family who lost their 10-month-old son, Bodie. Their mission is to support families who have experienced the loss of a child by providing a range of services, including bereavement support, organ donation advocacy, and child-centred services.

They offer memory bags, a bereavement service, and even a lakeside lodge for families to find solace. It’s been a privilege to support this worthy cause so that it can continue to give hope and raise awareness.

Commenting on the partnership, Donna Hodges, CEO of the Bodie Hodges Foundation said: “To be able to receive a grant from the Precision FM Foundation has enabled us to make improvements to our services.  The team at Precision FM care about the causes that they choose to support, and it has been great to work with them on our project.”

Another key area of focus centres on mental health support, an area we recognise as increasingly crucial in today’s society.

In our work to promote positive mental well-being, we have extended our support to Headstrong, an organisation committed to enhancing the mental well-being of young people.

Headstrong’s mission aligns seamlessly with our own approach to mental health, which includes initiatives such as the Healing Hub and our backing of the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) programme.

Another example is our recent collaboration with Leicester-based charity Soft Touch Arts. They work with young people and use the creative arts to boost confidence and develop skills, an approach that aligns with our philosophy of ‘Nourishing Our Roots’.  As part of our support of the charity, we offered an artwork commission and young artist, Niall Aston rose to the challenge and created a wonderful abstract painting that now brightens up the company’s offices.

This project not only resulted in a stunning piece of art, but it also provided a young person with an opportunity to showcase their talent and build their confidence. This initiative is just one example of how we strive to create an environment where our team, and our community, can flourish.

Our charitable scope extends to environmental preservation and animal welfare too. Our partnership with Save the Rhino International embodies our passion for the environment and our belief in the importance of preserving global biodiversity.

Part Of the Community

In the community, we also support a number of client-led charities, varying from children’s charities to cancer charities and more. When we’ve formed a good association with a client we love to recognise and strengthen that partnership by supporting the worthwhile causes they are involved with.

In our own community, we try to support initiatives that help to provide young people with the opportunities they need to succeed. This has included sponsoring a local youth cricket and football teams and providing books for school libraries.
